Notes for Lelia MAJOR

Lexington Press 13 May 1875, p. 4., col. 1 - "P.C. Kidd weds Lelia Major at
Sedalia Missouri."
Correct spelling is Lelia Major, not Leila Major. I have a copy of her 1903 application for D.A.R. membership and she wrote the name very clearly in several places (see D.A.R. national number 46770). She was born 22 May 1853, near Sedalia, in Pettis
County, Missouri and died 29 July 1936 at Norman, Oklahoma. She was my great grandmother (my father's paternal grandmother).
