Notes for Ephraim CLARK

C.C.Gardner at page 57: Ephraim 3 Clark, proposed son of Ephraim and Hannah Clark, was most likely born at Elizabethtown. His wife was Elizabeth Lyon, daughter of Capt. Ebenezer and Elizabeth (Winans) Lyon, and grandaughter of Henry and Mary
(Bateman) Lyon of Newark, and John and Susanna (Moleyn/Melyn) Winans of Elizabethtown. The will of Ebenezer Lyon, dated Jan. 2, 1738-9, mentions daughter Elizabeth, wife of Ephraim Clark, and her children Elizabeth, Ephraim, Hannah and Dorcas. Later
on the names of grandchildren, Henry, Nathaniel, Ichabod, and Ridemus or Riderus, Clark are mentioned - it is presumed that all were of Ephraim and Elizabeth. Ephraim Clark was at Court in Essex County 1740.
